All four of its high schools University High School, Irvine High School, Northwood High School, and Woodbridge High School were listed in Newsweek's 1,000 Best Public High Schools in America for both 2003 and 2005, and earned a six-year accreditation in 2006, the best possible. Elementary and middle schools within the district also continue to achieve above average standardized test scores and national distinctions.
